Hop on and off a free conference trolley at select downtown sights perfect for the visiting librarian! Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Indiana Public Library Association (IPLA) and The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, there will be a free trolley service taking conference attendees to a handful of exciting venues during the PLA conference.
“We want to make this a memorable visit to all attendees and this transportation will allow more people to visit our fabulous city,” said Jackie Nytes, CEO of the Indianapolis Public Library. There will be a continuous loop to visit the following locations (full schedule set below):
- The infoZone at the world-renowned Children’s Museum
- The Indianapolis Public Library
- The Indy Library Store (ONLY: Tuesday afternoon 1:00–5:00 PM and Wednesday morning until 1:00 PM; open house begins at 9:00 AM)
- The Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library (Closed Wednesday)
Trolley Schedule and Route
During its hours of operation, the trolley will leave the Convention Center (Maryland Street door) on the hour, every hour. Pick-up at individual locations will be hourly from the corresponding drop-off time. Reservations are not required.
